We are located about an hour and 30 minutes northwest of the Rapid City airport.
Airport Link
The closest town to the ranch is Belle Fourche. There are rental cars available at the airport or you can call us to arrange a pickup for an extra cost.
Please check the local forecast for Belle Fourche before arriving. Depending on the time of year, the weather can change drastically in a matter of hours. In the September/October months the mornings may be chilly and afternoons could be anywhere from 70 to 100 degrees. Most areas we hunt are also very windy. We recommend packing clothing that can be layered so you can shed items accordingly throughout the day.

OTHER ITEMS:
After a successful harvest we have a place at the ranch to hang your animal. You have the option to take the meat to a local processor (at your own expense) or we can help you debone the animal at the ranch. If you choose to do it at the ranch, please note that we have limited freezer space and you may need to purchase a cooler and ice to store the meat depending on the temperatures outside.
There is a local taxidermist we can recommend you take your trophy to. If you’d like to use your own, please plan accordingly to get your trophy back home or have it shipped to your preferred taxidermist. We can assist with the skinning and caping of the head and you will need to purchase a cardboard box at a local store to pack the head in.
At any time during your hunt, if an animal is wounded and blood is drawn, that is your animal. Your remaining time may be spent trying to locate that animal, but you will not be allowed to harvest another animal to replace the one that was wounded. This is at the discretion of the guide and/or outfitter. We always try to get our clients into the range that they feel comfortable with, but we all know that these things can happen to any of us. Thank you for your understanding.
Every hunter is responsible for purchasing and arriving at the ranch with the proper South Dakota hunting license. Non-resident hunters are only allowed one deer tag and one antelope tag per person.
Archery:
As a non-resident hunter, even though you have to send in an application, archery licenses are guaranteed with no deadline to apply and the cost is approximately $286. When purchasing through the South Dakota website you will select "Archery Deer Nonresident PRIVATE LAND ONLY - Hunt #ST101, ANY DEER."
Rifle:
(Reminder we do not offer rifle hunts for mule deer or antelope)
Non-resident rifle hunters can increase their chances of drawing a deer tag by applying for two different licenses. The first application is called the West River Special Buck license and its due in early April. It cost $560 and this is your best chance of drawing a license. The Special Buck license is for private land only, and private land is all we hunt. If unsuccessful in drawing the Special Buck license, you can then apply for general draw in June. The general drawing license is species specific and this license cost $286. You have the option of buying a preference points when you apply and that would up your chances of drawing the next year if you are unsuccessful this year.
Prices include: guides, lodging, and meals.
Prices DO NOT include: gratuity, personal gear, weapon, airfare, a rental car for transportation to and from the airport, tag/license fees, meat/taxidermy storage coolers, meat processing fees if you take your meat to a local processor.
